Jim McElwain is a new Florida coach. He said that he is ready for new battles and offensive that should bring results. Gator fans are hoping that this will be true. A former Florida coach and player, rubs off on Jim McElwain. You should know that he came to Florida after 3 successful seasons at the Colorado State. He is a man who knows Southeastern Conference. Between 2008 and 2011, he was offensive coordinator for Alabama. These, successful seasons, even include 2 national championships.

McElwain takes over control from the Will Muschamp, who was fired after 4 unsuccessful seasons. This period is known as anemic offense. McElwain said that the players have a lot of talent, but they need help in order to transfer that talent into the game. Hovered, in order to see how this really works, we must wait.

Last season, Florida had a hard time passing the ball. They were ranked 12th out of 14th league teams. They had just 180 points per game. Treon Harris, a sophomore quarterback returns after 9 touchdowns, throwing for 1.019 yards and 4 interceptions. But, he is pushed away by Will Grier.

McElwain said that he believes that rivalry between these two quarterbacks won’t affect on the game of other players. In fact, it may have a positive effect on them. McElwain also said that he shaped his offensive psychology at Alabama, but at the Colorado, it has evolved. It included 10-2 record in the final season and 22-16 record in earlier seasons. He will try to improve the game of Florida. We can only hope that he will succeed in this.
